Kyndryl has promoted its Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) head of marketing, Kimberley Marlay, to A/NZ head of strategic partnerships and alliances.

In the role, Marlay will be responsible for leading and growing the global IT services firm’s local channel ecosystem, including developing its relationships with hyperscaler partners Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud.

She will also look for opportunities to work with local partners to boost Kyndryl’s capabilities across its six technology practices.

Marlay steps into the role vacated by Yolanda Stead, who has since moved to Procore Technologies as head of partnerships for Asia Pacific.

Marlay has worked with the firm for the last three years and was responsible for building its brand locally since it spun off as an independent company in 2021 from IBM.

“Kimberley not only has a deep understanding of where our customers are on their technology transformation roadmaps, but also has built strong relationships with many of our ecosystem partners over the past three years,” said Ashish Kumar, Kyndryl A/NZ president.

“With strategic partnerships being an important engine of growth for Kyndryl, this winning combination makes her a perfect fit to lead our local Alliances team and unlock greater value for our customers.”

Prior to IBM, Marlay was at Ogilvy & Mather and also worked as a marketing consultant.
