Danish video management software vendor Milestone Systems is expanding into the New Zealand market by hosting its first event for local partners, distributors and customers.
Milestone’s key theme at the Wellington forum was the “power of video” and growing awareness of the role it could play across a range of vertical markets including commercial real estate, local government, healthcare, energy, sporting facilities and infrastructure.
“New Zealand has always been an important part of our operations in the South Pacific region, but it is time to expand our commitment and work more closely with the dynamic, professional market there,” said Jordan Cullis, country director for South Pacific.
Milestone opened a new office and experience centre in Melbourne in August.
The vendor, which lists 15 New Zealand partners on its website, is best known for its platform which promotes innovation in the security and surveillance markets. However, the event pushed the power of video beyond security, such as in promoting enhanced situational awareness, public health and safety and smart buildings.
Willie Taylor, director of security and emergency management at Auckland University of Technology, delivered a keynote to around 120 attendees at the event.
Local distributors include Atlas Gentech and Channel Ten Security.
