Schneider Electric has promoted two of its long-standing employees in its Pacific Zone division, moving Joe Craparotta to vice president (VP) of Pacific cloud and service providers and Farokh Ghadially as VP of secure power for the Pacific region.

Craparotta has been with the vendor for 16 years between APC by Schneider Electric and the parent company and was most recently its VP of IT business and strategic customers and segments.

Now, he will lead the company’s Pacific cloud and service provider strategy and key business leaderships, working with specialist teams and partners to drive sustained growth.

“The opportunities in the cloud and AI sectors are vast and the moment is now to invest faster in our sector and cement the digital sovereignty and digital future of our region,” Craparotta said.

Meanwhile, Ghadially, who has worked at Schneider Electric for more than 18 years and was its VP of partner projects and power solutions prior to his promotion, will focus on secure power portfolio growth over market segments, accelerating services, software and AI-driven solutions.

The two appointees align with the vendor’s forecasted data centre capacity growth in the Pacific region, Schneider Electric claimed.

“With the Pacific region boasting the highest cloud capacity per capita globally, we are ready to lead the next wave of innovation in data centre design and AI development in Australia and New Zealand,” said Colette Munro, Pacific Zone president at Schneider Electric.

“Joe and Farokh have the vision and experience to take on this growing demand while continuing to deliver sustainable, intelligent and resilient solutions for our customers.”
