Schneider Electric has appointed Oliver Hill, former managing director of HP New Zealand, as its country president effective from 29 October.
Hill joins the energy management specialist’s Pacific zone leadership team, reporting to zone president Colette Munro.
He is charged with leading the company’s New Zealand team to deliver sustainable, innovative solutions across software, services, and energy management for various industries and partners and for both Schneider Electric and PDL.
The appointment also comes during a boom in local data centre investment, a significant market segment for Schneider.
Hill said he was excited to be leading the vendor’s talented local team.
“My focus will be on deepening relationships with customers and partners while adding to a culture of collaboration and inclusivity,” he said. “I’m passionate about the role we can play in shaping the future of energy management and sustainability in Aotearoa.”
Hill brings over 20 years of experience working within outsourced managed services, partner management, and enterprise account management, before leading HP’s commercial channel, printing systems channel, and enterprise teams.
Munro said since rejoining Schneider Electric in February she had regularly visited New Zealand to meet the company’s teams, engage with customers and identify growth areas in the market.
“I look forward to seeing what Ollie’s technical and channel expertise will bring to our customers based on the opportunity that I’ve seen here,” she said.
