1. Partnership: ERM and Osapiens have partnered to help “businesses effectively manage, report and ultimately act on insights from ESG data,” the two companies said.
2. Enterprise Software: Oracle has launched Oracle Fusion Cloud Sustainability, an application that “helps organizations efficiently manage and report on sustainability initiatives,” the company said. The application is free to existing Oracle Fusion Application Suite customers.
3. Data Centers: Scala Data Centers and the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul have signed a letter of intent that sets the stage for a large infrastructure project in South America. The effort, known as Scala AI City, represents an initial investment of US$500 million (around BRL 3 billion) in the first phase alone. The project will create Brazil’s first data center industrial district. Scala Data Centers typically leverage renewable energy and various sustainable designs.
4. Launch: FutureScaleX has launched the FSX Insights Energy Transition Platform, which “addresses the electrification of industrial heat, identifying available technologies that need support in policy, technology, economics, supply chain, and digital transformation,” the company said.
5. AI and Energy Consumption: In a blog, Microsoft CTO Mark Russinovich, CTO and technical fellow for Microsoft Azure, describes how Microsoft is “advancing the power and energy efficiency of AI.”
1. Potential IPO (Initial Public Offering): Diginex, an ESG software provider, filed with the SEC to raise up to $11 million in an IPO, Renaissance Capital reported.
2. M&A – Consulting: Verdantas, backed by private equity firm Sterling Investment Partners, has acquired Aegis Environmental — a consulting firm focused on environmental health & safety, regulatory compliance, and sustainability. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
