Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance initiative to expand the reach of its Generative AI Innovation Center program (GenAIIC) via systems integrators (SI) and consulting firms.

The GenAIIC launched in June 2023, aims to connect customers with AWS AI and machine learning scientists and strategy experts to help envision, identify and develop GenAI solutions.

Meanwhile, the Alliance initiative provides customers with access to a network of SI and consulting firms around the world with expertise in the area.

The Alliance has launched with nine global partners to offer industry- and regional-specific expertise, as well as added resources to scale the number of customers AWS can support with proof-of-concept and production implementations.

The nine starting partners include Booz Allen Hamilton, Crayon, Escala24x7, Megazone Cloud, NCS Group, Quanitphi and Rackspace. Additionally, Deloitte and Caylent are included as the Alliance’s initial systems integrators.

“We focus on developing end-to-end solutions and customising foundation models when necessary to address specific needs, always prioritisng security and scalability,” said Sri Elaprolu, global head of the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center.

“This customer-centric strategy has been instrumental in driving success through the GenAIIC.

“Now with a growing network of partners, we can help more customers harness generative AI to drive innovation, productivity, and hone their competitive advantage.”

Sam Liew, chief executive for the Government Strategic Business Group at NCS, said the Alliance will enable the service provider to combine its experience in the Asia Pacific (APAC) with AWS’ GenAI services and “proven innovation methodology.

“Through our NCS GenAI CoE for Public Good, we will work with AWS to empower more public sector organizations across the region to navigate the generative AI journey and unlock their potential by tailoring solutions to local languages, cultures and businesses environments,” he added.

Earlier this year in June, AWS launched its Generative AI Spotlight program in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) to nurture pre-seed and seed-stage ready startups in the region that are building GenAI applications.
