Australian cyber security firm Sovtech is launching into the New Zealand market this month and bringing with it a “procurement for purpose” business model.
Sovtech combines its cybersecurity solutions with a social mission, including partnerships with significant causes such as Cure Kids – a charity dedicated to improving child health in New Zealand.
In Australia, Sovtech has supported first nations health and education initiatives.
“Launching in New Zealand has been driven by strong demand from customers and our partners,” said founder and director Neil Templeman.
“We see a great opportunity to help businesses here enhance their cybersecurity posture while making a positive social impact and we have recently signed our first contract in NZ with a large enterprise customer.”
Templeman, who lived in NZ for seven years, will be visiting Auckland on 15 and 16 October to meet with clients, partners and government officials.
The company offers services such as advanced email security, data protection and third-party risk management.
Brendon Pongia, head of engagement at Cure Kids, said it was rare to see a company in the technology or cybersecurity space with such a strong social mission.
“Their business model aligns perfectly with our goals of making a difference for children’s health in New Zealand,” he said.
