Dell Technologies’ Asia Pacific senior vice president and general manager for channels Tian Beng Ng, has ended his decades-long tenure at the vendor.
In a LinkedIn post, Ng wrote “it has been … 26 years and it has been a privilege to work with Dell Technologies every step of the way.”
On his departure, he said he felt nothing but gratitude and confidence; “gratitude to the company for all the fantastic opportunities over the years and confidence that Dell’s future and strategy is bright”.
“Grateful to have been given the opportunity to share on my leadership principles [and] style which is based around the importance of ownership and the value of people,” he said. “I always believe in the mantra of ‘leading from the front” and being engaged with people’.”
Ng said he will be staying with Dell Technologies until the end of December 2024, during which time he will working closely with the vendor’s country sales leaders and its vice president, Manish Gupta, on transitioning through new organisational changes.
“I am confident that with these changes, this will further strengthen partner collaboration within the country sales teams, enhance the partner ecosystem and further accelerate the partner business with Dell Technologies,” he said.
Ng’s extensive stint at Dell began in 1998, where he started as a sales manager for large corporate accounts in Singapore.
He worked his way to becoming director of enterprise for Dell South Asia in 2004, as well as taking on other senior positions in South Asia, Korea and Greater China, before making his way to his current channel position in 2016.
Before Dell, Ng worked at Sony as a senior officer for South Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Ng said it was an “honour to work alongside so many Dell colleagues, partners, customers and the community”.
“I do look forward to staying within the technology industry and having the opportunity to continue engaging with partners and customers in my next chapter,” he added.
