Australian telecommunications company Astrotel has signed up to become the exclusive reseller and managed service provider in Asia Pacific (APAC) for Alkira, a global vendor of network-infrastructure-on-demand.
Astrotel is a Sydney-based provider of cloud, artificial intelligence native software, open networking hardware and software, and connectivity solutions across APAC.
ARN understands the partnership will see the telco introduce Alkira to its clients, as well as design, onboard, expand and provide managed services for the use of Alkira’s products.
Astrotel will also work with the vendor’s technical team to connect the Alkira Cloud Exchange Points where necessary.
Astrotel’s founder, Elizabeth Aris said it provides cloud and artificial technologies.
“Using Alkira, organisations can extend connectivity to users, sites, devices, cloud instances and applications running on the hyperscalers’ infrastructure,” she said.
Founded in the United States in 2018, Alkira provides unified network infrastructure that integrates on-premises systems, multi-cloud environments, devices, applications, and users into a single, easily configurable platform.
Alkira recently closed a USD$100 million Series C funding round to support its expansion into new markets, including Asia Pacific.
