Distributor Westcon-Comstor NZ has tapped Rob Purdy as its new national sales director effecitve from January after a successful period on contract with the company.
Purdy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Westcon-Comstor. Most recently he served as the country manager for Fujitsu and his career also includes over 20 years at Datacom, where he held various senior positions, including associate director for cloud, networking, and security.
“Following an extensive search, we are fortunate to have found a leader whose passion, deep expertise in our solutions, and exceptional management experience will play a pivotal role in driving our success in the New Zealand market,” said Dave Rosenberg, managing director of Westcon-Comstor NZ.
“Rob’s leadership will not only accelerate our growth but also strengthen our existing leadership team, enabling us to deliver even greater value to our partners as we enter the new year.”
Westcon-Comstor NZ has been growing strongly in recent years. It increased revenue from $178.5 million to $198 million in the year to 29 February 2024, with profit after tax rising from $2.2 million to $5.9 million.
In 2022 revenue was $153.5 million while in 2021 it was $134.4 million.
