Partners from Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) were presented with more engaging sessions during the second day of EDGE 2024.
The day started with a sustainability breakfast focused on AI and how to build a sustainable practice with achievable goals in mind, which was sponsored by Schneider Electric and hosted by its general manager of channels, alliances and operations, Astrid Groves.
Afterwards, the day’s sessions in the main plenary area began with Foundry editorial director for A/NZ Cathy O’Sullivan and EDGE ambassador Susan Searle for the Morning Welcome. Next was keynote speaker Nancy Rademaker, who demystified the complexities of AI and delved into the profound business and ethical consequences of generative AI. NextDC CEO and managing director Craig Scroggie then came onstage to a rockstar welcome to talk about the exponential growth of computing and the resulting opportunities that are available for partners. KPMG partner for mergers and acquisitions and head of fintech Dan Teper followed, discussing the key considerations of selling, merging and acquiring and how channel organisations can ensure the transformation is seamless. After this, he was joined on stage by executive consultant and industry analyst Mark Iles for an even deeper dive into M&A. Wrapping up the first half of the sessions was Artic Wolf SVP of security services Mark Manglicmot, who unpacked the latest global attack trends and response strategies.
