David Leach has been appointed the new CEO of Auckland-based insurtech company JAVLN, succeeding founder and current CEO Dale Smith, who now becomes the company’s chair.
Leach served as CEO of inventory management software company Cin7 for nearly five years up until April. He has been on JAVLN’s board since June.
Smith said he looked forward to continuing to scale the JAVLN business as chair.
“When you build a company like JAVLN from the ground up, there’s a huge amount of pride there of course, and it was a decision I didn’t make lightly,” he said.
“JAVLN is extremely well positioned for growth and fresh leadership from someone like David, who has a strong track record with scaling tech companies,”
Leach said as a non-executive director he had seen the transformation potential of JAVLN first-hand and was thrilled to lead the company’s next phase of growth.
JAVLN’s current chair, Kerry McIntosh, will remain on the board as a director.
Known JAVLN customer wins include NZbrokers and Australian broker BJS.
