Cohesity has hired former Workday Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) president Paul Henaghan as its managing director for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

He takes over the role from Michael Alp, who left Cohesity in April to take up the post of Nutanix A/NZ managing director.

At Cohesity, Henaghan will be tasked with leading the company’s A/NZ operations, drive strategic initiatives and keep on delivering value to partners and customers.

He will also look at expanding the data security and management vendor’s capabilities to help customers build and maintain cyber resilience, according to a statement from Cohesity.

Prior to his time at Workday, where he worked for close to four years, Henaghan also worked at Dell EMC, ACI Worldwide, Progress Software, Software AG, Walker Datavision, Advantage Group and Netway Communications.

Speaking on Henaghan’s appointment, Cohesity global chief revenue officer Kit Beall said the A/NZ region is “an important market for adopting technologies that support productivity and enhance competitive advantage”.

“With the addition of Paul’s leadership, more customers and partners in the A/NZ market will benefit from Cohesity’s … solutions,” he added.
