Deloitte New Zealand is teaming-up with Dynatrace to help local organisations accelerate their digital transformations and cloud migrations.

High-quality data was critical to inform business and product strategies, optimise and automate processes and drive continuous improvements, the firm said.

However, the scale and complexity of data from modern cloud ecosystems, combined with the increased use of open source solutions, open APIs, and other customised instrumentation made it hard to achieve this goal.

“When we talk to our clients, we hear concerns about business resiliency and the lack of visibility around the health of key business platforms, all of which translate to risk for business leaders,” said Damian Harvey, Deloitte partner and engineering lead.

Dynatrace, however, delivered deep insights into the operation of platforms across legacy infrastructure, cloud and SaaS.

Deloitte said combining the firm’s expertise in business process and technology platforms with Dynatrace’s observability and security platform could improve core process visibility, reduce concerns about resilience and ensure critical business operations faced minimal disruption.

Alliances played a crucial role in how Deloitte served clients, said Matt Dalton, Deloitte partner and alliances lead. Many overseas Deloitte firms also appear to partner with Dynatrace.

“By joining forces with world-leading technology organisations, we gain access to advanced tools and resources, which enables us to address complex client needs more effectively,” he said.

It was also a great way to foster collaborative innovation, allowing Deloitte to offer tailored, integrated solutions for solving customers’ business challenges, he said.

“Deloitte’s knowledge, coupled with our platform’s ability to deliver precise answers about modern cloud environments is set to deliver huge value to our customers,” said Alex Lim, APAC regional vice president of partners at Dynatrace.

Dynatrace’s platform included the power of causal, predictive and generative AI, automation and application security.

In the year to 31 March, 2024, Dynatrace’s New Zealand business reported customer revenue of $12.2 million, up from $11.3 million in 2023. It also booked a further $1.9 million in revenue due to the adoption of new accounting standards that reduced royalties payable by the local subsidiary.

Net profit lifted from $340,000 to $2.7 million over the same period.
