Interactive has expanded its compute, network, and database offerings by incorporating NetApp storage solutions into its infrastructure portfolio.
The service provider will now manage NetApp’s storage products through its Interactive Anywhere managed services offering.
David Leen, Interactive head of product – cloud, told ARN expanding the partnership with NetApp was a natural evolution.
“This was something requested by end users who are struggling with maintaining or accessing storage skills, who still operate parts of their IT infrastructure on premises or traditional data centres,” he said. “We already sold and started the delivery of this new offering even before we had launched.”
Leen said the decision about the fit between the two organisations was made many years ago when Interactive chose NetApp in building out its private cloud, which is hosted across its data centres in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
“In addition, Interactive delivers hardware maintenance services to NetApp customers and have invested significantly in the partnership over the years,” he said.
Interactive CTO Dan Cox said the collaboration “marks a significant milestone” for the service provider as it expands its offerings with Interactive Anywhere.
Stephen Persoglia, director of partners and distribution at NetApp Australia and New Zealand, added that Interactive’s focus on “holistic technology solutions was a core motivator” for it to work with the service provider.
