MBIE business unit NZ Government Procurement has appointed six providers to its new, five-year syndicated document storage, digitisation and destruction services contract.

The contract, which was offered to the market last September, has two rights of renewal for three years and two years.

It will replace the current offsite document storage and destruction of records contract which expires on 30 November.

Agencies can now select one or more of six panel providers to deliver the services required.

Full service, including storage, digitisation and destruction, will be provided by Crown Records Management, Iron Mountain and TIMG.

Digitisation services alone are offered by Canon Business Services, DataNZ and Desktop Imaging.

To participate, agencies need to agree to a supply agreement by submitting a joining form on the government procurement website.

Canon is also a provider on the current government print technologies and services panel alongside Brother, Ricoh and Fujifilm Business Innovation.
